Uphall 2 v Gartcosh 1
 

Station progressed to the last 32 of the Scottish Cup with a hard fought 2v1 win over Gartcosh on a very soggy Craigswood. Despite being without the injured Graeme Blanche and suspended duo of Charlie Wright and Rab McGregor, station started brightly and took the lead on 15 minutes when Chriss Norris slammed home at the back post following excellent work from Paul McHugh. Brian McPhillie increased the lead on the half hour when he rounded the visiting keeper to slot home. 

Lee Manderson crashed a free kick of the bar early in the second half as Uphall looked to put the tie to bed however it was the visitors who got back in the game on the hour mark when they converted a Penalty. Lee Cruickshanks had the chance to seal the game but was denied by an excellent double save. Gartcosh’s hopes of forcing a reply were ended when their central defender saw red for a lunge with 20 mins remaining.
